Uniform Requirements

Pack 71 requires the wearing of an approved BSA Cub Scout Class “A” Uniform from the waist up. This includes a Scout belt with rank appropriate buckle, a blue Cub Scout uniform shirt (khaki for a Webelos den if all den members switch), neckerchief, and slide of the appropriate rank. Cub Scout pants or navy uniform pants (like those worn at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School) are acceptable. Scout socks are optional, and encouraged.  This uniform is required at all Pack Meetings and for all official BSA events.

For certain Pack activities, a less formal class “B” uniform will be allowed. This consists of a Pack T-shirt or other Scouting related shirt.

The wearing of uniforms is an important part of Scouting. The uniform provides the Scout with a sense of belonging to a higher organization. It allows them to be identified to others as a Scout. Scouts will be encouraged to wear their uniform properly at all times, with the pride and respect it deserves. A uniform inspection may be done at the start of each Pack meeting.
